hydration part 1

What if I told you that there was something that you could do for free anywhere, at any time, that would make your skin glow, help you age better, lose weight, detox and get rid of all the toxins in your body, and make you feel really good? Sounds impossible right?

I am constantly amazed that when I’m with my friends either out to eat or at their place, they always make a comment about my water intake. Doesn’t everyone drink this much water? Surely people know the benefits of water, and how it hydrates all of their organs to run better. Surely, people drink a cup of water upon waking before their morning cup of joe? The sad fact is that most people do not.

Have you tried to buy a huge gallon size water bottle and got tired of carrying it around or lamented that it didn’t fit in your cup holder? Is your first sip of water usually while taking a vitamin or prescription pill. Let me guess, most of your days are filled with coffee, coffee, and then wine. I say that because that’s what my life used to look like. I drank five or six cups of coffee a day and was severely dehydrated.

We’ve all heard the adage that drinking half of your body weight in ounces is the magic formula. However, this is not actually accurate. The amount of water your body needs is dependent on your age, gender, activity level, and health.

In this blog, there will be some good tips on both consuming enough water throughout the day, and some good practices to ensure that it actually happens. With a slew of health issues now commonplace in the United States due to our food supply system and other toxins/chemicals, these tips will help with weight loss, toxin elimination, insulin control, and also longevity as well.

Who wants to be sexy forever? I know I do!

You CAN NOT manage something unless you are able to measure it.

The first step in any kind of health process is to see where you are currently at – your baseline. You wouldn’t go start taking medicine without testing your bloodwork to see how your baseline compares to the requisite amount, would you? The reason you want to do this for a full week is that you usually will have a set of activities you do each night of the week. Let’s start by counting how many ounces of water you are currently consuming to establish the baseline.

Can you dedicate a water bottle for the week and carry it with you everywhere?  Don’t even go into a grocery store without it. By carrying it with you, it will become normal and second nature for you to be with your water bottle. You will become inseparable from one another. To make this fun, I love decorating mine with lots of stickers of places I’ve been around the world, my interests, and lots of cute conversation starters.

Good luck! I believe in you. I know you can do this!

Send me an email and let me know how many ounces you are averaging.
